So I listen to Fabolous new album everyday, I mean i got the songs on my phone, on my laptop, and on my Ipod. Most of my friends just say its because "I'm From Brooklyn". Honestly speaking the album is a hit from Brooklyn or not. I take time out to listen to different music everyday, I critique music from NY to Japan, good music is good music to my ears. So back to the album, it's one particular song that sticks out everytime I listen to it called "Imma Do It" featuring LA Lakers Star Player Kobe Bryant. This song has a lot of meaning behind it because it shows that everyone has to do things to strive for better in their own lives. It starts off
"The block got my back
And my boys do too
And my big mama trippin said she need more loot
Every block, Every hood, Every ghetto got beef
I got a heater on my lap
And another in the back
She hassels her coke with all this stress on me
Erybody and there mama callin fed's on me
I don't know what
I'm a do but I'm a Do It (I'm a Do It)
Look I don't know what I'm a do but I'm a Do It (I'm a Do It)
I got money on my head but I'm ridin in a drop, (drop), drop, (drop), drop, (drop), drop, (drop)"
Showing the pains that people would have to go through living in the "hood", dealing with all aspects of living in the "hood" I didn't have to deal with all these pains cause my family always told me to watch take heed and never do what someone before has done. I always had a very observent eye and always spoke to the older guys to learn from their mistakes. Anything in life, any obstacle I go through imma have to do it....
Imma Do It
