Coming from where I'm from, kids go hard for they respect, even would go at an older dudes neck, see me I didn't have to earn my respect, it was given because I showed my stripes as a leader.
Coming from where I'm from, these hustlers see their money stack, and the police knock, they still take the risk of going out again to pitch that product the street love to abuse.
Coming from where I'm from, my little sisters can't be outside playing during a certain time, because they would have to duck and run, dodging gunfire between the feuding neighborhoods or gangs.
Coming from where I'm from, a lot of good still happens, chilling with the old heads, joking and rapping, sunny days still shine on the "hood", barbecues, cookouts, girls looking good, I know I'm just blabbing but this just a little bit of my lifestyle. This all me, I just don't live the "hood" I made it out, I'm just another example of what good can from the "hood"...

Dope As It Is...

There's a debate, about being FLY & being SWAGGY. Me being from NY, Swag isn't a conversation brought up. Its either people recognize that you got a mean sense of fashion or what some consider a "hypebeast". Like a fly person would just throw on a good pair of jeans, clean sneakers and a new shirt and would be set for the day. A swaggy person would do anything in they willpower to make sure they have the newest and hottest piece of clothing that only those would have money or hustlers would become fascinated with. The people I hang around would be considered as SWAGGY because they have the money to buy all the new designer clothing and the footwear. I consider that as flashy. I consider myself as just FLY because I don't like to stand out, I would have on the footwear that some consider as SWAGGY but that's because i work to have them on my feet. FLY people would put on something casual and would get compliments. SWAGGY people would get looked at as conceited and spoiled. They would have some compliments but they would also get stares from people as being snobbish and obnoxious. So People What Do You Consider Yourself As????

So this isn't the first time I seen this video, I was inspired to put this video up because I had a phone conversation with a cousin of mines who actually is younger than me but is facing 10 years in prison for armed robbery & assault in New York state. We always hung around the same group of friends growing up but he got sidetracked and started to gang bang and hustle with some of the older guys in the area. Every time we speak he remembers the day exactly how a dollar changed his life.
